I am but a loose leaf

flying in the wind

Oh, where is my tree?

Bruised by the ground

rushing in a circle as

the mighty wind meets the wall

Lifted in to the sky

bitten by the brisk breeze

I sail and float

to land in a shadowy place

accompanied by others

yet alone

I am a fallen leaf

the sun no longer fills me

with sweet sugar

the refreshing rain is cold

and I am thirsty

but can not drink

I recall my green days

I supported my tree

I made oxygen

I captured the heat of the sun

and cooled the ground

only to whiter

and be food to insects

I hope I taste good
