Into the mirror

I walk into my vision

I gaze upon my dreams

My empty hopes

The remnants of what might have been's

Through the glass looking out

I see the blue, blue sky

The breeze blowing my long locks

Time is a window

Clear yet solid

I drift and sway in a stationary manner

My thoughts swim in the waterless pool of time

Can you comprehend my sight?

I stare in through the mirror

Out into my eyes

A tunnel of vision focuses the pupil

Through which I look into

A speck of soul

Caught in the eye causes a tear to form

The flood of fears and memories race

Down my face

Rivers of tumultuous emotions pulsate my veins

I look away hoping to find my lost innocents

What exactly have I done with my life?

Where in this illusion I behold as me is the child

I was and where are his dreams and goals

He struggled to craft into reality

What is the result of the knowledge,

The skills, the endless discipline he suffered

 Till it was his turn

Still waiting

The storm of sadness now clouds the eye

The thunder of reality deafens the ear

And the jacket of madness binds the soul

Happiness awaits him amen
